Community partners help UW-Barron County move toward new levels of excellence through contributions to the UW-Barron County Foundation to create opportunities not otherwise possible.
UW-Barron County Foundation's board of directors and volunteers include alumni, friends, community leaders along with UW-BC faculty and staff. Founded in 1966, this non-profit corporation plays an increasingly important role in helping the campus fulfill its educational mission. Though UW-Barron County receives assistance from the State of Wisconsin and Barron County, it relies on the generosity of supporters to supplement shrinking public resources.
Your financial support will make sure UW-Barron County Foundation can continue to offer deserving students scholarships, fund critical professional development for our outstanding faculty and staff, and support campus initiatives that make this a great place to learn and work. Thank you for your generosity.
Please provide your complete mailing and contact information via our secure PayPal link so your gift can be promptly acknowledged. Thank you for your support.

IRA Charitable Rollover
In 2015, Congress enacted a permanent extension of the IRA charitable rollover. As a result, individuals age 70½ or older can make gifts directly from their IRA to charity. An IRA Charitable Rollover will allow you to:
- Avoid taxes on transfers of up to $100,000 from your IRA to our organization
- Satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year
- Reduce your taxable income, even if you do not itemize deductions
- Make a gift that is not subject to the 50% deduction limits on charitable gifts
- Help further the work and mission of UW-Barron County Foundation
Sophisticated Giving can include creating tax avoidance, sharing your values with your heirs, establishing a family foundation account or Donor Advised Fund, and/or multiplying the dollars you give to charity. We are happy to share information on Sophisticated Giving here.
Consider including a gift to UW-Barron County Foundation in your estate plan. Naming UW-Barron County Foundation in your will, trust, or by beneficiary designation will create a lasting legacy and help ensure that we are here for future generations.
