Beyond my education, my preparation for an academic career has evolved from experience in numerous fields, primarily government, the law and finance. I have been: a mayor, a county planner, a League of Wisconsin Municipalities lobbyist, a legal advisor to two Wisconsin governors, an advisor to the Wiscosnsin Publiic Service Commission and a Washington lobbyist for a leading nationwide financial firm. I have extensive management experience at senior levels in mortgage banking and commercial banking with national firms.  Currently I am a Trustee of the University of Wisconsin - Barron County Foundation.  In September 2014 I received the "Ripon (WI) School District Distinguished Alumni Award."  I hold memberships in: "Association Internationale de Science Politique", "The American Political Science Association" and the "Midwest Political Science Association". I serve as the Faculty Advisor to the campus UW-BC Business Club.  I enjoy providing both in class face-to-face instruction, as well as my online and interactive, compressed video instructing through affiliation with UW Colleges Online and Distance Education.
