Red Cedar 2017 contributors to share their talents

By UW-Barron County

UW-Barron County will be celebrating the publication of Red Cedar 2017 on May 4, 12:30 to 1:20 p.m., in the Blue Hills Lecture Hall, as part of the campus’ Thursdays @ the U Lecture and Performance Series. The program will feature readings by area authors and presentations by UW-BC students.

Red Cedar is published each spring and features the work of creative writers from throughout Wisconsin as well as studio art by UW-BC students. The publication includes poems, short stories, creative nonfiction, photographs, drawings and paintings.

Red Cedar was first published in 1999 and was dedicated solely to the work of UW-BC students. It has since expanded to include works submitted from throughout Wisconsin, featuring the most talented voices among Wisconsin’s undergraduate writers, emerging authors and seasoned wordsmiths.

Thursdays @ the U Series talks are free, open to the public and sponsored by the UW-Barron County Foundation. UW-Barron County is located at 1800 College Dr., Rice Lake. For more information, call 715-234-8176.
