UW-Barron County is offering a series of courses designed for those who are entering college, returning to college to complete a degree, or upgrading job skills. Participants in the Refresh series can choose to take one or all the classes. Classes include math, English and writing, and computers.
The math prep course will be offered on Tuesday, April 22 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. in room 204 Ritzinger. The math ReFresh course covers basic math principles such as working with fractions, absolute values, order of operations, and square roots, algebra concepts and geometric principles. Registration fee is $25.
The English/Writing ReFresh class will meet on Tuesday, April 30, in room 237 Ritzinger Hall from 5:00-9:00 p.m. In this class participants will improve effective writing, organizational, and logical reasoning skills; examine the writing process; receive a grammar review; and learn proper paper format. Registration fee is $25.
Refresh computer skills will be offered Wednesday, May 6 in room 202 Ritzinger hall from 5:00-9:00 p.m. This class will cover the basic functions of Microsoft Word, email, and internet. There is no registration fee for the computer class.
