The next Thursdays @ the U lecture on March 13 will feature UW-BC faculty and students speaking on “Everything International.” This presentation will be held from 12:30 – 1:20 p.m. in the Blue Hills Lecture Hall at UW-Barron County in Rice Lake. All series presentations are open to the public free of charge.
In this presentation, Lee Friederich, UW-BC Senior Lecturer of English; Ginnie Baer, Assistant Professor of Art; and Jayant Anand, Assistant Professor of Anthropology/Sociology will be the featured presenters. This trio of professors along with UW-BC students participating in the global studies program will focus on the international events to be held at the campus this spring. Among the events and organizations to be explored is the new UW-BC One World Art, Literature, and Film Series that will take place in April/May; the activities of the UW-BC One World International Club; and the Japanese Fundraising Dinner for the Service Learning study abroad course in the Tsunami Zone of Japan.
After spring break the next Thursdays @ the U presentation will be on March 27 and will feature a poetry reading by Yahya Frederickson, Professor of English at Minnesota State University in Moorhead.
