Mingle, eat, drink, and be entertained while strolling through UW-Barron County’s attractive public spaces at the 9th annual E.A.T.S. (Educational Assistance Through Scholarship) event, a unique fundraising experience on Saturday, February 3 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the University of Wisconsin-Barron County (UW-BC) in Rice Lake.
The menu features sample-sized gourmet and ethnic appetizers, entrees, and desserts prepared by area restaurant chefs, bakers, brewers and UW-BC faculty and staff. Guest chefs will be located throughout Ritzinger and Meggers Halls with many activities taking place in The Commons. The event will have more than 35 sampling tables featuring familiar favorites, international flavors, locally distilled beverages and brews, and many sweet treats.
Food and drink samples will be provided by Bistro 63, Blugold Roast, Cheers at Tagalong, Chetek Bakery, Cookin’ Up s A Storm, Lairchurch B&B, Lehman’s Supper Club, Louie’s Finer Meats, Main St Market, Perlick’s Distillery, Pine Brook Farm, Reel ‘Em Inn, The Roost of Sarona, Small Town Sweethearts, Valkyrie Brewing and more than 20 UW-BC faculty, staff and students.
Other events taking place include raffles and silent and live auctions featuring artwork, gift baskets, meals and unique experiences. Cash bars and a variety of live music add to the festive atmosphere.
General admission tickets are $40 per person in advance and $45 at the door. Proceeds will support student scholarships, professional development and campus initiatives at the University of Wisconsin-Barron County.
