Arts Wisconsin, Wisconsin’s leading arts independent service, advocacy and development organization, recently announced the appointment of Dr. Dean Yohnk, UW-Barron County Dean, to the Board of Directors, for a term of three years beginning in January 2014. The Board of Directors guides and advances Arts Wisconsin’s mission of civic engagement through the arts and creativity for everyone, everywhere in Wisconsin, and to benefit from the arts as essential components of Wisconsin’s economy, educational system, and civic life.
Dean began his term as the new Dean and Campus Executive Officer (CEO) at UW-Barron County in Rice Lake on January 1, 2014. Prior to this recent appointment, Dean served on the faculty at UW-Parkside in Kenosha for over ten years and was the founding Dean of Arts and Humanities and the Director of the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for Arts and Humanities at UW-Parkside, which opened in 2011.
