Our camp is designed to improve your basic skills - passing, setting, serving and hitting - to advance your overall game. Learning and developing proper skills and technique as a young player will help you in the future. By starting with the basics, you will begin to set the foundation for stronger playing as you start to play on league, Junior and High school teams. Part of the program will include game time, with each team having a coach to encourage correct skill and team development.
Meet your coach: Your coach is Sue Bedient. Coach Bedient lead the Varsity Volleyball at Barron High School for fourteen years - they were Conference Champs twelve of those years. For the past three years, Coach Bedient has lead the womens team at UW-Barron County and won the WCC State Championship this past fall. Our assistants for this program will be talented former players who have been trained by Coach Bedient.
Join us for 4 days of twirling, swirling summer fun! Baton twirling is an excellent way of developing hand-eye coordination, rhythm, timing, and overall total body coordination. In Level I, you will learn the basics of baton twirling, tossing and other dazzling techniques. If you have some experience with baton, Level II will help you improve your beginning technique. All levels will march in the AquaFest Parade on June 16th.
Meet your instructor - Jenny Oestreich
Jenny started twirling baton at the age of 5 and continued competing and teaching for many years. In the sport of baton twirling, Jenny has received solo titles and competed with a world champion baton twirling team. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Teaching a baton twirling class combines two passions for Jenny: the sport of baton twirling and teaching children.
