About

This was my first fulltime job after completing graduate school. And it’s such a beautiful area and such a delightful, small campus where one can truly get to know students; why go anywhere else?

I have two children, one dog and one cat. I have recently moved to a few acres just outside of Rice Lake, where I can enjoy the same kind of rural scenery that I enjoyed while growing up on my parents’ farm in North Dakota (except there are more trees in Wisconsin, of course).

When I’m not teaching, I read widely, participate in book groups, cook for my friends, and enjoy hiking, biking, gardening, and cross-country skiing.
