Time to put on your creative “hat” – Don’t have one? No problem, join us for a weekend of felt blocking hat creation. You will use millinery grade felt to “block” over antique and modern hat blocks. You will choose your felt, form your hat and then embellish the hat with a variety of beautiful, interesting, and unique trimmings. You will finish your creation off with a striking silk lining. Your instructor is Emily Moe. Emily is a millinery artist from Duluth, Minnesota. She studied at the Lillstreet Art Center in Chicago. Several years ago, she joined the millinery team at the handmade marketplace website Esty.com. She took over Captainship of the team in 2010. The group has grown to over 350 members coming from every part of the globe: Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Czech Republic, the United Kingdom and United States.  Emily creates and sells her hats on her website moesewcomillinery.com.
