You don't have to be a student or faculty to use the library! Members of the community are encouraged to visit us and make use of our resources.
Borrowing Library Materials
Community members may register for a Community Borrowing account at the Circulation Desk. A borrowing account allows members of the community to check out materials from the UW-Barron County Library or request materials via interlibrary loan from any of the 13 UW Colleges. Librarians are available to help you navigate Search@UW and find the materials you are looking for.
Accessing Electronic Resources
Any electronic resources and online databases licensed by the UW Colleges Libraries may be accessed by members of the community in the library only. Off campus access is not allowed.
Community members are encouraged to use Badgerlink, a free resource providing access to a number of online databases to any Wisconsin public library card holder. Visit the UW-BC Library or your local public library to find out more.
The library's computer lab is also open to the public. Community members wishing to use our computers should ask a member of library staff to sign into a computer. Computer access is unlimited as long as there are enough computers for student use.
Community members wishing to print or make photocopies should ask a member of library staff for assistance. All public prints or copies are .25 each and must be paid for in cash at the circulation desk. Color copies/prints may be made at the circulation desk and are $2 per page.
