The next Thursdays @ the U lecture series selection is a very special presentation that will feature a farewell lecture by retiring UW-Barron County Dean Paul W. Chase.
This presentation will be held from 12:30 – 1:20 p.m. in the UW-BC Blue Hills Lecture Hall in Rice Lake. All series presentations, which are open to the public free of charge, will be held every Thursday at the University of Wisconsin-Barron County in Rice Lake.
Dr. Chase, who will retire at the end of 2013, has been CEO/dean of UW-Barron County since August 1997. Prior to coming to the Rice Lake area, he had a 19 year career in administration at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook. Outside of his campus commitments, Chase has been very involved in the community in both church and civic activities. Currently, he is on the boards of the Rice Lake Rotary Club, which he serves as President, and the Marshfield Clinic Rice Lake Center/Lakeview Medical Center.
The final Thursdays @ the U presentation is on December 12 in which creative learning and service awards will be presented to UW-BC students who will be presenting their independent research, service projects, and creative collaborations.
The Thursdays @ the U Lecture Series is sponsored by the UW-Barron County Foundation. For more information, contact the campus at 715-234-8176.
