RC Choir Concert is Dec. 8


The Red Cedar Choir Holiday Concert, “One Silent Night,” will feature the 60 member choir and Bethany Brass under the direction of conductor Beth Joosten.  The choir will give two performances on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rice Lake.

The program will open with ‘Prepare Ye’ by Marc Robinson to be followed by the four part ‘Ceremony of Carols’ by Benjamin Britten featuring ‘Procession,’ ‘Wolcum Yole,’ ‘There Is No Rose,’ and ‘This Little Babe.’  The concert will then continue with ‘Some Children See Him’ by Alfred Burt/Ehret, ‘Night of Silence/Silent Night’ by Daniel Kantor, ‘O Magnum Mysterium’ by Laurisden, ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’ by Audrey Snyder, ‘While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks’ by Craig Courtney, “Go Tell It On the Mountain’ by Lloyd Larson and ‘O Come, All Ye Faithful’ by Frazier.             

The concert features Christine Fritz on piano and Heidi Joosten on the harp.              

The Red Cedar Choir is comprised of UW-BC students along with community vocalists.
