Community partners help UW-Barron County move toward new levels of excellence through contributions to the UW-Barron County Foundation to create opportunities not otherwise possible.
In the past year, through the Foundation, students received scholarships, learned about the campus, attended class in facilities with updated equipment and technology, and celebrated commencement. Cultural and educational events for K-12 students provided stimulating exchange on campus and through distance learning; students and instructors benefited from support of teaching and learning projects, course development, and professional enhancement opportunities.
UW-Barron County Foundation's board of directors and volunteers include alumni, friends, community leaders along with UW-BC faculty and staff.
Founded in 1966, this non-profit corporation plays an increasingly important role in helping the campus fulfill its educational mission. Though UW-Barron County receives assistance from the State of Wisconsin and Barron County, it relies on the generosity of supporters to supplement shrinking public resources.
